Verbena hastata, also known as Blue Vervain, is a gorgeous meadowland perennial featuring stunning purple-blue blooms. Not only does it add beauty to any garden, but it also attracts hummingbirds and butterflies, making it a wonderful addition to any wildlife-friendly landscape. This beauty enjoys moist conditions. 

Vervain has many legends attached to it from many cultures. In Christianity, it takes the healing nature of this plant and applies meaning to the wounds of Christ. This is a meaningful plant to have in the Garden while meditating on the Sorrowful mysteries. 

It makes a regal statement with its 4" purple spikes on top. It is considered a native plant from the US to Canada.
